An international student in Poland wants to stay here permanently and get Polish citizenship

Hello there !!
I am a student and studying engineering as an international student here in Poland. I really love this country and now I want to stay here permanently and I want to get a legal citizenship and a polish passport. Is there any legal procedure to get that.

I've heard that getting married to a polish national girl would make it legal. please anyone can help me by giving me the details about this.

I'd suggest you ask the Polish embassy and explain your situation to see what they say.

You should be staying in Poland 5 years to get permanent card and then 3 years after getting permanent card, you can apply for citizenship-after proving Polish language skills. This residency in Poland should have been legalized for work, the times that you spend as a student are count as half.

Man, where are you from originally? Somehow it is hard to believe that you want to stay in Poland permanently. People from India like to go western countries, unless there is somthing you are not telling.

No, what would happen is that all these non-EU citizens would be suddenly required to comply with the same rules as the rest. It's no big deal for those of us actually established and with legal paperwork here - but there are untold amounts of Brits all over the EU that simply haven't bothered with any local formalities, especially in Spain.

Can you honestly imagine Margaret and John turning up at Malaga Airport and being told "We need to see proof of your income, health insurance and oh yeah, you've only got 3 months here?". Dont marry for papers. When she divorces you, she will take almost everything you earned.

If you're from the Indian sub-continent you need a visa and you can stay for up to 90 days. If you want to live and work in Poland you need to find an employer in Poland who will offer you a job and apply for a work permit on your behalf.
