provide a link to that? And tell me, why did you enrol with a private "university" to "study"...and why the first priority is to to "visit" Norway...since you are here to "study"
And where did you get the money from to "study" here? I suppose you also could "study" in Lagos or Kinshasa....or Nairobi....
i am been sponsored by a company..and i have been in poland for 8 months now,,,,,,been to germany....so i have 4 days free ....because my program is in english and very tight.are you okay with that...in my class we have up till 24 self sponsored student
Your story has holes as big as in an emmental cheese. What kind of company would sponsor your "studies" ? And on which conditions?
And could you enlighten us at which "university" you are "studying" and which subject? And why the sudden need to go to Norway? Anyway they have an embassy in Warsaw, go there and apply for a tourist visa...
hmmm....let me give a short information.go to google and check companies sponsoring students from nigeria.then we see different names and mostly oil and gas sector..its very common.if your company want do buisiness in nigera, its very good now.any way i cant tell you which university and course( you understand why i cant mention that in here )..the contract says i must work for them, with full salary for 3 yrs before i can go to any another company.
The word "Nigeria" tells it all, doesn't it? In Western Europe we do know what this means. Maybe that is why you did not apply for a place at a university in the UK for example?
Still it does not explain why you feel the urgent need to go to Norway, and feel offended the Norwegians might agree with me and will stop you at the border. And why didn't you apply for a tourist visa with the Norwegian embassy in Warsaw? Because the word "no" would appear as fast as you could complete the application form?
And why did you apply to "study" in Poland of all places? Oil and gas...the UK is much better situated for that....I wonder how much it costs to "study" in Poland at a private "university". Maybe you could give an idea what you are "studying"? Maybe the subject "how to to get into the EU" ?
sorry i cant tell you.even if i tell you that this page is white..as long as it was said by an african ..you will still see it black..hahahahahah its not necesary...case closed...we still keep on coming and studying and if we find it to stay its not your problem i think.we pay our school fees and keep the law..so we are more allowed to stay.thanks anyways for your countribution..i went to embassy in warsaw.i got my information i need.i can enter norway for at least 90 days ..dont need a visa...i be there by month end for three 3 days....and enjoy the enviroment
By what yardstick then do you measure "interesting", jon? Majestic fjordscapes, cradle-to-grave security, fresh air and plenty of it, literate conversation etc.... Doesn't sound half bad to me, old boy:-)
Oh well, I guess there's the downside too - the smug, homogeneous descendents of Vikings, arrogant about their democracy while valiantly struggling with ethnic diversity... Mixed bag, I suppose.
Indeed. Whenever I've been there (only Stavanger unfortunately) I've always thought that it must be a pleasant place to live - even to visit for a weekend in Oslo.
If I'm going to go somewhere for a week though, and Venice or Moscow are the same price - the decision isn't hard. I was considering a few days in Oslo, but when I checked the hotel prices I nearly fainted ;-)
OK but then he is a Nigerian "studying" on a dodgy Polish private "university" - which name he does not want to tell - and pretends he will "visit" Norway as a "tourist".
I wonder why he is not "studying" in Africa somewhere. Boy, these private "universities" in Poland do make a healthy profit like that.
"studying" on a dodgy Polish private "university" - which name he does not want to tell -
The OP's said on another thread that he's studying at the Akademia Morska. Not private and the opposite of dodgy - it has a very good reputation and as well as mostly Polish students also gets people from other seafaring nations. I've worked on ship with plenty of graduates from there.

a) He's already told us that he's at Gdynia Maritime University. b) If he is in Gdynia and doing maritime-related studies, he'll be at Gdynia Maritime University (as the private unis don't do those courses and he wouldn't get into the Polish Naval Academy).
c) Gdynia Maritime University is an excellent establishment.
I do no doubt this is a reputable establishment. But question: why would a Nigerian come to study in Poland of all places? He could for example do that in South Africa or his own country?
Gdynia Maritime University is an excellent establishment. AFAIK, there are no maritime universities in Nigeria or South Africa. Certainly there are none of any repute. FWIW, my ex's father was a graduate of Gdynia Maritime University, and one of her predecessors was a lecturer there.
Sobieski is right. When watching authors past posts you will see that he was searching for the cheapest travel way from Gdynia to Warsaw and has 1500USD in his bank account. Why then would he travel as a tourist to the most expensive tourist destination in the world - Norway :)
