Haven't heard about any law regarding it, but don't do it in public cause, I have no idea what they would have done to you xD

I'll save you the effort. It's apparently illegal to insult people's religious beliefs. The singer for Behemoth got into a bit of trouble for ripping up a bible:

The District Court in Gdynia, Poland has dismissed charges against vocalist/guitarist Adam "Nergal" Darski of Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH in connection with a September 2007 incident when he reportedly called the Catholic Church "the most murderous cult on the planet" during a BEHEMOTH performance in Gdynia and tore up a copy of the Bible onstage.

So it is illegal if there are more then 2 complaints... So if you tell people that it's an experiement and not a real bible or something and people don't get mad at you. It's ok

You mean stamp collecting or woodwork or something? I've never heard of bible burning as a hobby, but in Poland anything is possible.

Stop being naive....

You know perfectly well what he is talking about. Hair dressing, interior decorating and being a coffee barista at Starbucks. You know....

Yes, i agree what that.

Would burning the bible in order to provide necessary heat in a winter time be considered an offense as well? Because the moment i burn it, I'm just telling everyone that i was in hypothermia and i had to do it in order to survive. Case closed.

Apparently if it offended more than two people :)

There are a couple of posters here who clearly have wanking as their major interest in life, that and pretending to be Polish.

what they would have done to you

- Crucify! Hello?! ;)

The mob is going to burn you at the stake and when all is done Radio Maria will pick up your remains and dump'em into Vesuvius

Hahahahahah! Good one, Havok.

So in private, you can burn as many as you want.

Yep, just as any other pulp fiction literature! But books haven't got a very high energy value as combustible material:) If you still persist on burning books (which I'd frown upon), pick a paperback copy, it's cheaper;). Or try coal instead. But if burning the Bible would make you happy - go ahead you bloody blasphemer!!!

[and please, take it as a compliment:) ]

So it is illegal if there are more then 2 complaints...

Will it matter if someone sends a letter of appreciation too? Would it balance the complaints? :)))

You just use different tool and dig somewhere else, that's all.
