I'm interested in serving in the air force, but i live in US.

whats the pay like for Polish pilots? what are their days like? are they helping in Iraq like Polish ground forces and GROM special forces units?

any info about MODERN DAY Polish pilots would be great.

by the way, the reason i want to join the air force is because my heroes were the best pilots to ever fly. Miroslaw Feric, Witold Lokuciewski, Jan Zumbach, Zdzislaw Krasnodebski, and Wirtold Urbanowicz.

I am an American citizen, and a Polish-American. I want to start a career in soldiering but do not want to join the American Army. As a member of the Polish diaspora, the obvious alternative was the Polish Army. As a member of Polonia without Polish citizenship, can I join the Polish Army? And if I can, what steps do I take to get to that point and to join?

As a member of the Polish diaspora who's a member of the US national guard (part time nowadays) I'd say you should be able to begin the process as long as you're a legal resident of Poland. Eventually you'll have to become a citizen I'd imagine just as it is in the US. I'm guessing that you either didn't make it in the US military and want to give it a try somewhere else (might be a good idea) or are trying to make a political statement. Either way, remember that you'll probably end up serving in similar places (NATO member).

Come to Poland, there are so many fields to serve the people apart from army.

I had served 5 years in the USAF as a Polish citizen only along with Cuban citizens, Canadian, etc. Maybe this has changed recently with the war on terra.

If you have at least one grandparent with polish citizenship, you can get PL citizenship as well. Might make things easier. Just saying.

Also learn polish (if you can't already speak).

Then move to Poland and get yourself zameldowany.

You'll need to speak very good Polish, and should be aware that pay and conditions are much worse.

In your status as a foreigner another thing to remember is that if you have no command of the Polish language (reading, writing, aural and verbal) then you would be of no use in the Polish armed forces. How do you think you would follow through with an order if you can't comprehend what is being tasked to you? They won't accommodate you by speaking in English or providing a translator to accompany you around.

There are some countries like France, Britain and the US which allow foreigners to join their ranks. But these are mainly low skilled, non-critical positions which have a high turnover rate of personnel anyway and only a very basic understanding of the native language is required. Essentially cannon fodder assignments.

And in case you are wondering, Poland doesn't offer language training nor a pathway to citizenship for foreigners seeking to join.

I dont know what country are you from but I hope you considered that most of the countries will disown you for serving in another countries army.
