Driving permits in Poland

I will be starting a design project in Poland soon, which will require frequent trips back and forth between Szczecin and the U.S. with stays about a month or two each time. so we are thinking of buying a car for office use.

So, the question is; will we need to get polish driving permits, or will our U.S. ones suffice?

(when I lived in Italy, the Auto Club issued temporary permits that were valid for the length of our Visa)

Nah. It's pointless. There is the Atlantic Ocean between. You can't use a car that way.

You will need an international driving licence - which is essentially a translation of your US driving licence. Apart from that, you're good to go as you won't be resident here for more than 185 days a year.
