Hello, I am a US citizen moving to Wroclaw Poland to be with my Polish boyfriend. Here in the States after living with someone for 6 months we are consider common law. So if we are to separate I am entitled to half of his belongings and he is entitled to mine. Is there such a law in Poland?
To benefite anything from the belongings of your partner you have to marry (and WITHOUT THE SEPARATION OF BELONGINGS) or he has to establish a donation in your favour
Your kid has right to alimony- the amount depends of possibilites of father, needs of child, and of cours your own situation
Really, pay attention- even the mothers in polish courts are privilegied, if you give birth to Polish kid, with a Polish guy it could be difficult to come back to US with the kid...
