EU (British National). How long can I stay in Poland?

Hi,

As a British citizen, how long can I stay in Poland?.. At first I thought as we (the UK) are in the EU then my stay can be 'unlimited' - but then I've seen that there is a 90 day in 180 day limit to visitors to the Shengen countries of which Poland is included. However is this just for non-EU citizens (US, Canada, etc. etc.) or do Brits have to play by the Shengen rules too, and only be in Shengen countries for 90 in 180 days?

I would like to check this as I've found different information around on the Web, and am looking for a clear answer. Any answers and links to authoritative sources would be great. Thanks in advance.

As long as you want.
Polish authorities like you to get a piece of paper confirming your right to reside here if you are here for longer than three months but there is no punishment for not getting that and, more specifically, you can't be deported for refusing to get it.
