Will I need an apostille for my Australian birth certificate? Getting married in Poland.

My partner and I are planning to get married in Poland later this year. I'm currently organising my documents for the marriage application but I'm not entirely sure of the requirements for these documents. I understand they will need to be translated by a sworn translator in Poland, but before I do that will I need to get an apostille for each of them. At the very least, I was thinking it would be necessary for my birth certificate but again, I'm not certain.

I've read on other forums that if you are providing copies of your birth certificate and passport for marriage applications or residence permits, you'll need to get these legalised before they can be translated. Is this true, and to what extent do they mean legalised?

She wants to go through all this? Why don't you two just marry in Australia in a plain and simple manner?

It would be simpler to get married in Australia and then come to Poland and have the marriage registered.
