Online brokerage firm for Buying and selling stock on WSE?

I am a Polish-American that is interested in investing money long-term in companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. I currently use Scottrade when I invest in companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Is there a Polish equivalent for online transactions? I am looking for best value for buck, low commission or trade costs for long term investments. I'm not dealing with much money. I am young and it is more of a hobby. Any suggestions or is a Polish bank the only way to go? Banks are difficult for me since I currently live in the US, but I may plan on moving to Poland in the future.

Personally I use broker account in mbank, rarely... they used to charge something like 0,39% per transaction. But you have to be resident to have an account there.

Your bank's online service should allow you to buy shares listed in different countries. I use halifaxsharedealing-online.co.uk

Why would you want to do that?Do you think there is not enough companies listed on NYSE,Nasdaq and Amex?You know in Poland you would have to pay 19% CGT?And comissions are much higher than in the US (don't know about Scottstrade but I pay 10$ a trade with Ameritrade).Not a good idea!

There are tens of online brokers. I use BZ WBK. Standard commisison for private clients in Poland is 38 pips and PLN12 per future.

After year-end brokers send you a PIT with the amount of 19% capital gain tax. If I was not a Polish resident I would not pay that. Polish tax office has no means to execute that tax from foreign individuals.
