If you are British then you can register your place or domicile but you need to apply for a "pesel" first. If you are not an EU citizen then you have to apply for a working visa and at the discretion of your employer.

I have a lot of respect for you sir wanting to live in Poland when 2 million Poles hot legged it via National Express to the UK as soon as the border gates opened. Why don't you come to the UK on holiday and arrange to hide inside a Polish lorry on the way back to Poland from London. He will accept $2 as payment. Then you can gain notoriety as the first white asylum seeker actually trying to enter Poland (as opposed to the 2 million who fled the country the minute the shackles were off.)

With your fame and celebrity status, the British media will invite you back over to pore over your story and Max Clifford will negotiate a million pound deal with the OK or You magazine. Then you can nip down the boozer on a Saturday night, attract a fine looking slapper with tattoos and promise her a life of luxury in Warsaw if she will only marry you.

It really will work.

Wrong. The PESEL comes after you obtain the relevant residency documents.

If you are not an EU citizen then you have to apply for a working visa and at the discretion of your employer.

Wrong. In fact, you cannot apply for a working visa if you're eligible to enter Poland on a 90 day tourist waiver - you need to apply for residency from within Poland.

I remember what it was like to try to get my wife a green card at the embassy. Sir, you have to prove you have been living and working in the USA for 3 years earning a minimum of $30k per year. Otherwise, you have to get a sponsor

KABOOM~~>Buddy totally wrong...to begin with one dont get a green card in the embassy! aNOTHER FACT THAT YOU DONT NEED 3 YEAR TAX RETURNS TO PROOVE THAT:)

Common bud admit the facts and you might get a advice.I have got Polish citizenship through marriage, took me almost 41/2 years after applying even though I got her the greencard and she got citizenship by her own self we are almost together 27 years now.So i do know the practical laws..which may vary in Poland but in states they same in every state..oh just for yur info do you even know immigration departments legal name now?if not google ICE!
