No chance.

A2 to B1 is a huge jump.

Don't even try it. Why do you need the exam, anyway?

Guys,

My friend is in similar situation. The thing is difference between A2 and B1 is really huge. He is preparing few things by heart and few by understanding the rules. I think it is very much possible but still if anyone has any further information then please do share with us. They are closing down and the new bill will come into effect in the end of Nov 2015, the schools will be affiliated and regulated in coming 6 months..... so that mean no exams before may 2016. Hope my information is wrong but if it's correct then that would be a nightmare for him.

Also, the current fees is 60 euro and after the new regulation the new fees will be 180 euro :(
Best of luck!

they is a test online on their site, you can test yourself if you can pass.
you can also try book 'badz na B1', if you can pass exercises in this book, than you can pass the exam.

This contains the band descriptors for CEFR B1 speaking.
eui.eu/Documents/ServicesAdmin/LanguageCentre/CEF.pdf

As a comparison, this is about the equivalent level in English:

Merged: Polish language certificate - which institution can issue this?

Hi everyone ,
I want to take the B1 exam (polish) and I'm wondering if there is any other institution where I can take it except: certyfikatpolski.pl/pl/ ?

Here it seems there will be no more exams for this year and there is no information about next year.
Thanks

Polish B1 for Permanent Residence Card

Hi everyone,
according the the new amendment immigration law of foreigners in Poland which will be applied in Feb 2018. one of the new requirement to obtain the permanent residence card (after completing 5 years stay in Poland) is to have B1 language certificate.

my question, is this certificate need to be issued by state (certificate state) or it can be any from any language school?
the concern here, that the exam state is organized only 3 times per year, moreover you need to wait for another 2,5 months to get certificate.
additionally you have very limited places when you apply for it. therefore all this can delay applying by even half a year.
regards
Richard

It's a state exam. A certificate from a private language school would be worthless.

I "purloined" a copy of the Exam in question and I must confess, I'd be hard pressed to say whether I'd pass it or not!

Showed it to a Polish colleague of mine at work and even he admitted that for a lot of Polish native speakers, the test could be a challenge.

Who knows, perhaps he was just being polite:-)

Same though holds for the Cambridge Certificate Exam for English, which possibly only a teacher such as myself would have any hope of passing handily.

DominicB.....It's a state exam. A certificate from a private language school would be worthless.

As some private language school are accredited to offer courses and certificates for students to take the Cambridge Certificate Exam, FCE etc...then perhaps its possible to find a school who is accredited to run the 'state exam' to cut down on waiting time and to offer more places....

i hope they will make some school accredited. otherwise will be a disaster.

That's not going to happen. The potential for fraud is far too high.

I think it depends on the reputation of the individual language school. The potential for fraud is equally valid elsewhere, wherever you take it....it all depends on the people overseeing the exam. If accredited language schools are properly run (as no doubt state exam centres are) then the potential for fraud is reduced.

It's still not going to happen. Private language schools do not have the authority to issue state certificates, and never will be granted that authority.

While DomincB may well be factually correct (and I'm not doubting such, as I'm less informed on the subject), the potential for fraud exists at the highest levels as well, and will probably continue to as well unfortunately:-)

Even if the exam were to be taken in a language school, it would have to be a certified exam centre. Just like in case of Cambridge exams, the papers would be sent to the organiser of the exam.

If there are three exams a year, you can take it every four months, roughly speaking. It's frequent enough IMO.
And if It's for the citizenship, it has to be organised by a respectable institution.

Dominic, again, you're way out of date. The law regulating this changed in 2015, and now private institutions can become exam centers too.

@delphiandomine

What does your post have to do with anything I wrote?

What does your post have to do with anything I wrote? Or with anything the OP asked? Private language schools do not have the authority to issue state certificates, and never will be granted that authority. Any certificate issued by a private language school is completely worthless for this purpose. And no, there hasn't been, and never will be, any change in the law regarding this.

Whether private institutions can serve as testing centers is another matter entirely.

Well yes, so you agree that it could be possible for accredited private language schools to act as exam centres.....it may well be that the actual certificate is issued by the government department responsible for producing them....but it could be possible for this exam to be taken at a language school....
