Anyone else often buy Play.pl "Online na Karte"? I'm not sure if I have a problem...

I bought the starter kit 1GB SIM Card with starter modem.

The first time I topped it up, I put in 50zl. On the brochure, it stays I should basically get 5GB of data over the next 2 months. As a result, on my account I saw that I had 4.2GB of data, and 50zl on the card. I did the math (1gr = 300kb) and that results in 4.2GB + 1.5GB = 5.7GB of data total --- Not bad...

The second time I went into the store, I asked for 125zl to be put on the card. I thought i'd see a much bigger bonus in GB/data, but i got the same thing - 4.2GB! The only difference, is that the card had 125zl on it. The math does NOT add up to 15GB and while using it, i definitely did not get 15GB out of it.

I wasn't able to put in a complaint because I didn't have polish residency. I can put one in now... but I'm still afraid to tried to top up with 125zl again.

Does anyone have experience doing this and knows what to expect in your account after a top-up?

Why would not having Polish residency in any way affect your ability to make a complaint?

To submit a complaint, the sim card needs to be registered. To register the sim card, you need to have at least a polish residency and an address (which i didn't, then). I do now, but it happened a long time ago so I'm going to let it slide. Right now, i'm going to go buy some more again and I wanted to be sure I knew how it worked.

Why not go into a Play shop and ask them there? Or just call the help line.

You don't. You can register it wherever you're staying, even if you're in a hotel, and using your passport number.


This is the obvious thing to do.
