The people responsible for making such decisions are highly unlikely to approve someone for citizenship if they haven't fulfilled the criteria for permanent residency.

As i said before I'm going to re-apply again."If you don't ask, you won't get".

It's pretty pointless reapplying if you've been refused once, unless something dramatic has changed.

I don't give up delphi!!!!

In this case, you might as well - the President isn't going to approve an application from a mundane person who already has the right to live and work here.

He is as Polish as you!
He may not be ethnically Polish but he is of Polish nationality.
Get used to it. Your law has changed. Anyone can become Polish now, just like Poles become British nationals.

Merged: Polish Citizenship/Long-term EU resident card - when can I go for them?

Hi forum members,

I had gone through previous posts in the forum but couldn't find similar queries. I had few questions.

I will complete 6 years of stay in Poland in Feb'15. I have been working for 4 years now and studied for 2 years prior to that. I have resident permit till May'17.

a) Since I have 5 years of uninterrupted stay (I read that time as a student counts for half the total number of years of study), when can I apply for Long-term EU resident card? I had gone through migrant.pl website which states the requirement of a document as below

- documents necessary to confirm the information contained in the application and the circumstances justifying the application for a long-term EU resident permit;

Can I get it from the company stating my requirement in the organization? or only during my next application can I be eligible to apply for that (i.e., during May'17).

b) When will I be eligible to apply for Polish Citizenship? I read that if I stay for atleast 3+ years on the basis of the Long term EU-resident permit, I will be eligible for that.

c) I will be marrying soon to my girl friend from Turkey. As a long-term EU resident holder or as a Polish citizen, what is the change in her status.

Thank you for any information. Have a pleasant Sunday.
Isk

I totally forgot to add. I am from Turkey.
