Use of Kochanie in Polish

I have a polish girlfriend and she just said that kochanie can mean babe or my love and she just called me it and usually refers me to as babe in english

Hi all, I was wondering how a grandmother would refer to her granddaughter with the use of the word "kochanie"; I know that kochanie is used in the form of endearment, but I was wondering how it would be used between family, more specifically, a grandmother to a granddaughter.

I recall my grandmother calling me "kochana", but I'm not quite clear about the difference.

Merged: moje milosc vs kochanie

Is there a meaningful difference between saying "moje milosc" and "kochanie" when I am trying to say "my love"? I'm writing a dedication and I would like to say "dziekuje moje milosc" to my husband. I've always called him moje milosc rather than kochanie, and he has never corrected me, but then again he is rather relaxed about the language, so I want to make sure I'm not going to sound like a complete idiot if i do say that. Thanks!

It's sort of the same, the first one is stronger and less common and it's "moja milosc" not "moje"
