What is Szkole used for??

I am a beginner in learning Polish.. confused in how the words change when used in sentences. (grammar)

Szkola - School
Szkoly - Schools

What is Szkole used for?

For 'how is school? ' can we just say 'jak jest szkola?' or 'jak jest szkole'?
why 'szkole'?

Any quick guide on Polish grammar would be useful too..

I'd say: Jaka jest szkoła?
It should be the nominative case in that...case.
Szkole would be used for 'in (the) school' -> w szkole.

jak tam szkola? = how is school?

in real conversation it will be asked like that.

in school = w szkole

Jak tam szkoła? ="How is school?"

It should have been What is school like ;)

Hmm for example: w szkole (at school)

After class [or school] - po szkole.
