hi guys, another one for you, take the example of lepziej, i know the j is pronounced y, so would i be correct in saying lepzi.....ay, and equally najlepziej would be , nay..lepzi...ay.

is that right

because there is no z in them: lepiej, najlepiej.

I think you've confused them with lepszy, najlepszy, which are adjectives. Lepiej and najlepiej are adverbs (they answer the question: how?)

i have another bit of confusion, in a conj set are words that end in ieć, which tells me that jeść belongs here, which give endings,

em
esz
e
in another set with words ending in ść, give me endings in
ę
isz
i
what is the difference, and would the word i eat be jeśę or jem
i dont undertsand this one at all.

It depends on if they are regular or irregular.

Swan has a new book out that tells a lot about it.

no, sorry, I can't ;) I've never had to learn Polish conjugation groups.
Probably it's some exception.

becuase there's a difference between lepiej and lepszej
najlepiej and najlepszej

lepiej - better (better to do things this way/you do it better)
lepszej/lepszego -better- meaning - there's no better way than this; there's no better guy/woman than him/her

najlepiej - the best - the best is to choose the best answers from the poll; better leave this problem to...

najlepszej/najlepszego - the best/ all the best/ to the best person ever

More or less so.
You don't hear "z" in these words as its "sz", pronounced roughly as English "sh".
Check out other threads in this section, there was a link somewhere to a website where you can check Polish pronunciation (you get male/female voices pronouncing words).
