"Pamiętaj o śmierci" Is this correct?

Hello! I don't know if anyone has ever heard of "Memento Mori" which in Latin translates to "Remember the Death". Now, in Polish, does "Pamiętaj o śmierci" mean the same? And what about capitalization...as in, can it be spelled as a title "Pamiętaj O Smierci"? I don't know how to make a capital S with the apostrophe above it, but I am assuming there would still be an apostrophe. Sorry if none of this makes sense! Thanks in advance!

Pamiętaj o śmierci is fixed phrase and I think it shouldn't be translated in any other way.

Hmm, now I am confused...because this is going to be a tattoo...I like how Pamiętaj że umrzesz translates into Remember you will die...but Pamiętaj o śmierci, is more so the original quote to the original phrase...This is a possible tattoo, so I'm trying to not put something permanent on me and it be incorrect. So I cannot capitalize the S or O? Could I leave the whole phrase un-capitalized? (for lack of a better word)

why don't you just use memento mori? it looks and sounds much better in Latin than in Polish and everybody knows what that means.

Thanks everyone! Well, my original plan was to use Memento Mori, but where I'm from, honestly not many people do know what that means anyways, plus my family roots are polish, and a part of me just wants something different. People always have latin quote tattoos, no one around here has polish.

Pamiętaj o śmierci is correct. As ak already said it's fixed phrase in Polish just as "memento mori" in Latin.
You can write it as correct sentence with capital first letter or you can write it with only small letters (pamiętaj o śmierci).

Neither is correct.
Pamiętaj o śmierci means that you will die and nothing can change that.
If you write in Polish Pamiętaj umrzeć or Pamiętaj żeby umrzeć it will mean that you should remember to die, because if you forget you might live forever :D, so don't you dare;)

This has a totally different meaning if you phrase it that way. Memento Mori used to be a greeting as well as farewell used in Trappist monasteries as a constant reminder of the fragility of life, that we are mortal the purpose of which was to get used to the concept of death timing of which is unknown to us, “Pamiętaj że umrzesz” if you want to go that route.

So, are we all pretty much agreeing that pamiętaj o śmierci is correct? It translates into English as "Remember the Death" which kinda doesn't keep with the Memento Mori translation, basically it doesn't translate well from Polish to English, but it does Polish to Latin, which is all that matters, Im assuming.

When people ask you what it is, and you try to pronounce it (assuming you can), it won't exactly roll off the tongue. It's not a very eloquent phrase, grammatically or tonally.
