Are the languages of Russian and Polish similar at all?

There are some good tips on Youtube about learning languages. I don't remember the URL but look for 'speak any language in 6 months', Mr real polish's channel is also helpful. Earworms polish volume 1 is pretty cheap and you could use Google translate to learn basic words. Remember 10 verbs, 10 nouns and 10 adjectives enables you to speak 1000 different phrases. Which is 85 percent of everyday speech. 3000 is 95 % and is fluent almost native speech. Learn like a baby in pidgeon speak, able to ask questions and learn. After simple greetings etc if there's something you want to know Co to jest? (what is this?) would be a useful learning tool. Pronounced similar to so toh yest? Good luck my friend.

The Polish language, since its a Slavic language, is fairly similar to Russian since they are both Slavic.

Polish for instance is much more similar to Russian than say English, Spanish or German which are non-Slavic.

The Polish word "No" which is Nie is fairly similar to the Russian word for no, "Nyet".

it becomes the same with verbs - Nie strzelaj (Pl) - Nie strieliaj (Rus) - Don't shoot.
