Hi,

What kind of a word is gratulacje? It isn't a verb as far as I know, what is it?

Thanks in advance.

a noun - means congratulations - I think it used very similarily as in English - gratulacje, stary! - congratulations, old lad!

the verb from gratulacje - is gratulować/pogratulować (imperfective/perfective)

gratulacje is plural of gratulacja (gratulacja in singular is hardly used though in Polish)

it is formed and declined on the same pattern as informacja

It's also derived obviously from Latin and is not a native Polish word. For 'congrats', I would have to say 'Powodzenia!' or simply 'Good luck!'

-:)

Mark, you better shut up sometimes - I very much doubt 'congrats' can be translated as 'powodzenia' in any circumstances (congrats are after , good luck is fore)

Yeah, you can trust gumi, I'd say.

well trust, hmm .. ok you can trust me - relying on me is something completely different :P
