Declension of młody and stary

If you were describing a boy and girl and were saying they are not old, they are young, which plural would you use? Would it be młode and stare because you're describing a mixed group?

Thats what I wrote down first, then got I confused and changed my mind!

No, it wouldn't. You'll say: młode i stare kobiety; młode i stare zwierzęta, so you'll use the plural adjective młode when refering to the niemęskoosobowy gender.

You'd say: młodzi i starzy mężczyźni, młodzi i starzy żołnierze, so for the męskoosobowy gender it is the młodzi form.

For a mixed group of people, you'll use what you use for a group of males: [ten] chłopak i [ta] dziewczyna; oni nie są starzy, oni są młodzi.

I'd say, trust your instincts :)

Plural of adejctives:

Men and mixed groups: -i
All other (women, things): -e (the same as in singular)

In Polish in Plural we have two genders:

Male People Gender (oni) -i/-y starzy, młodzi
Not Male People Gender (one) (the rest: women, children, anmals and things, I know it is kind of masculism (-:) -e młode, stare
If we have a mixed group let'say 1 man and 100 women
always Male people gender is stronger

But only in Singular Neutral! Female and Male gender are different.

Notice We have 3 genders in Sngular (male female neutral) and only 2 in Plural (have a look above)
