Life / What can citizens do to make Poland a better place to live? [125]

I have only got close to one Polish girl...she ate a bit too much (!), but aside from that she fitted the description above perfectly! Dyed hair, loads of make-up, obsessed with money...she did smile sometimes...but only when she was telling lies!!! Or stealing!

I think the neatest way for Polish citizens to improve life here would be to get a bit more honest! Start to value friendship and love above money and possessions, and send all the hairdressers back to hairdressing school!!!

And don't forget to smile and plant a geranium

;0)

Polish men could cut the macho bullsh*t role and start treating girls as their equals! (But you can still chop the wood, hold the doors open, carry the heavy bags etc...!). ;0)

And you boys can also cut the crapp about polish women being the bestest in the whole wide world...not one of you has met my daughter yet!! Not only is she beautiful, educated, and well-dressed....she also SMILES, a lot! And she doesn't tell lies, jump queues or rally drive on the public highway, either!!

Oh, and Harry, that (above) was really LOW! REALLY LOW!

There's one less of the new up and coming generation round here...he put his car into a truck trying to overtake my mate on a blind bend.

Polish people...can you learn to SMILE please? Can you learn patience and prudency on the roads?

And if you could all buy a pot of paint, get out there this year and tidy up the front of your homes, stick some geraniums outside, and smile and wave as I drive past (slowly) ???

Life / Reasons for moving to Poland [291]

I can't remember if I had a reason for moving to Poland...my feet are cold, and my brain is in a stupor...could someone pass the vodka please?

Hazy memory....I think it had something to do with a cheap field for my horses!
Good times?? A few...long, hot and dry summer, decent food, good vets (at a fair price!), well-mannered teenagers, and beer I can afford to drink more than one of!

Not so good times?...Telecommunications here are utterly shyte! Being cut off by TP/Neostrada from 30 June to some time in November with six million excuses and new deadlines?? A bit like being back in Africa in the seventies! And I won't even start on driving skills here....but to the total prik who mowed down my dog in a 40 k zone?...Without you I would never have realised quite how good (and cheap) the veterinary service was here...and neither would I have experienced the miracle of watching my dog walk on 2 legs!

UK, Ireland / What do Polish people think about Wales and Welsh people? [191]

I SURVIVED WALES! And when i got home to poland i found this. (photo of Kalif at 6 days old, no welsh blood in there)...surely the best thing about wales is still leaving, which is FREE, but have you noticed you have to pay to get in?!

Right...I will avoid Wrexham then! Can it possibly be grimmer than Merthyr Tydfil? Where I lived (briefly) (near Merthyr Tydfil), gangs of little bike riding hoodies are running riot. Sadly I have to return to the area tomorrow- for a whole 2 months! Last time I was there the kids had raided my electric supply box, ripped out the earth wire for the few pennies worth of copper....the electric was LIVE! Sadly, none of them were electrocuted in the process. .....Shocking innit?!

you'd get a couple of new counties that way.

Are you sure there should be an "o" in counties in this context??!

Anyone in UK heard anything about Welsh in Wrexham attacking Poles?? I sort of half heard and half understood something on polish radio today about this. What's going on??

Hopefully you live in Bridgend and you'll make the news

Ouch! But funny!

Wales is a beautiful country, stunning scenery, mountains, beaches, woodland....a walker's paradise no less! Or it should be? But when i lived there I didn't dare walk anywhere alone, such was the hatred for the English! At least I didn't have to worry about getting raped there....unless I was careless enough to wear my lambs wool jacket!

The best thing about Wales?? Being able to leave it behind....
The worst thing about Wales? I have to go back there in 2 weeks :0(
