Do not take a taxi from people offering you taxis, just go to the first cab in the line, make sure if it is not the weekend that the meter is not at rate 3 this is weekend night time two is normal week days at evenings and rate 1 is normal day rates. the price should be less than 70 zloty thats around 18 British pounds

Law / Laundromats in Poland? Good business venture or not? [90]

Restaraunt/Bar/laundrette! This works very well in the US, people take their laundry here and whilst waiting for it to be ready, they have their lunch or dinner along with some refreshment. making this more of a pleasure than a triesome task

Real Estate / IS IT A GOOD TIME TO INVEST IN POLISH REAL ESTATE? [83]

Well guys from trying at this moment in time to buy both an apartment and a plot of land in the Gdansk area, I don’t see a dip in prices and trying to but a decent flat in a decent area is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. That’s the reality in Gdansk!

Love / My Polish wife doesn't want to move to the UK with me - what to do? [96]

well i moved to Poland 10 months ago to give Poland a try for my fiancee. But have madeit clear that after 1 year if I cant handle staying here she must move to the UK for at least a year. If she refuses to move then it will be the begining of the end

The thing is Jobs are not scarcer than before, just look at this forum Uk employers asking for more Polish people to work on farms, bars and industrial sites! all over the UK.

In Poland they are taking workers from Russia

Shelley.

Its good you are concered by our countrys worries (UK) but the world we live in you have to accept that we as a nation have lived traveld and imigated to the four courners of the globe.

If you like me can not afford the things that the Uk provide then do as others do and move else where the world is getting smaller and smaller and travel is so cheap so vote with your feet.

Do not judge other nationalitys(In the EU) who only wish to make the future of there children better than what theres have been.

I am not against what you are saying but please look at the big picture.

UK, Ireland / Polish immigration in UK [491]

The fact is the British economy is far stronger since the large immigration of Polish people to the Uk and unemployment has actually went down.

Fact the Polish economy is now stronger and unemployment has also fallen.

Fact the Irish and Scottish people are some of if not the biggest immigrants in the world (Think of any major capital city in the world where there are not Scottish or Irish business)

By the way I am Scottish.
