Language / "Zaraz wracam" - Why not "zaraz wrócę" ? [32]

I hope he finishes the project by midnight.

I bet he doesn't come back on time.

Why present simple? For the same reason you say "zaraz wracam".

NB: "zaraz wrócę" sounds like a promise to me. (zaraz wracam - I'm merely stating a fact)
