Hello, my maternal grandmother is partially Czech (from Wołyń), and I've been wondering where her Czech ancestors came from. So far, I understand that most came from Moravia and Cieszyn Silesia? The "Czech" surname in our family is "Tuhy" which means solid, but the ancestor spelled it "Tugy", as a Cieszyn Silesian would. Anyway, do you know where the Czech settlers of Galicia came from? Notice the word 'racist' in every single title/url. But when 2 Polish men are killed, it's a plain-old 'hate crime', it's obviously only racist when Poles attack someone. If you mean if the name could have been spelt in 3 different ways then that is likely. But if you mean if the 3 names could be your relatives (?), then that is highly unlikely.

My own surname was spelt Bernatovich, Bernatovic and Bernatowicz. Currently spelled as the last one, doesn't mean that Bernatovichs or Bernatovics are my relatives.
