Work / Cost of living in Gdańsk, average salary for experienced software engineer in Poland [64]

@Roger5 I would know in few days about the job offer. With Visa and all other formalities, it will take couple of months for sure.

I lived in UK for 3 years and I know how the winter feels. Long cold dark nights. In UK, I never seen the temperature going below -5. I'm just worried about the chilly weather in Poland.

Thank you for your response.

Most of my concerns are cleared. But I would like to know what is the average pay for experienced IT professional. Anyone in IT field can put some light on it. so I can negotiate with the company.

And how cold it gets in winter at Gdask? I read somewhere it gets close to -35 degrees in winter. is it?

Work / Cost of living in Gdańsk, average salary for experienced software engineer in Poland [64]

Hello everyone,

I'm Jilani from India. I'm in the process of getting a job in Gdańsk as a software engineer. I will be joining as intermediate experienced software engineer. They would be offering me 6300 złoty per month before tax. I would like to know if this is the average salary for experienced software engineer and would it be enough to live in Gdańsk. I would like to negotiate the salary if I know the average salary.

I heard Gdańsk is one of the costly cities in Poland. Is it true?

How much would be to rent a 1 bed apartment in or around City center?

How much would be rough monthly cost of living for bills?

Is it hard to find Indian spices in Gdańsk?

Thank you All.
