Travel / Nicest Lakes in Poland (esp. Wielkopolska)? [11]

There is another lake that I would love to visit, but it is in the Tatra National Park, so unfortunately not close to Poznań.

Morskie Oko! I heard about that recently too. It looks like one of the most beautiful, clear lakes in Poland. I've also been wondering whether I should make a trip there to try and summit Rysy, so perhaps that would be a nice place to stop on the way.

Góreckie lake

Ooo wow! Even a small island in the middle. Imagine my confusion when I saw a place called 'Lodz' nearby on the map, though!

There are a few nice lakes that direction. Thanks for your suggestion!

Travel / Nicest Lakes in Poland (esp. Wielkopolska)? [11]

Hey all,

I'm a foreigner living in Poznan, Wielkopolska. I really love water and lakes, and was wondering if any of you had some recommendations.

I've been to Malta, Rusalka, Strzeszyn, and Kiekrz here in Poznan, but thought it would be fun if I could make a day out cycling somewhere, swimming a bit, and cycling back.

What lakes can you recommend all across Poland? The closer, the better. I am too young to drive and so would be cycling anywhere within around 50KM and taking trains or buses otherwise.

I've also been to Drawsko, which was wonderful!

Also, does Poland have any clearer lakes? Most seem to have darker water.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Love / What to get my Polish girlfriend for her birthday / 6 months? [3]

Hi,

My Polish girlfriend's birthday and our 6 month anniversary (same day) is coming up. She loves horses and also wants a betta fish (bojownika). I have one of her friends helping me to choose gifts, but as my Polish isn't so good I prefer to order things online. I am wondering if anyone has any good suggestions? I wanted to get her a bracelet/ring/necklace with her name or initials carved in, but I don't know where to start in a foreign country and I doubt it's something I can order online.

Dzięki!
