Genealogy / Searching for the "Rebe" family, and the "Scaz" family [3]

Hi Rotem.
What exactly would you like to find?
If you want to build a family tree of your ancestors, you have to check whether the Polish archives are the metrics of Moses for the region. I checked that, for the city of Plock metrics are archived in Plock. You can try to contact the archive (do not know if long does it take for a response), or use the services of Polish genealogical offices. I would recommend genealogia polonica.

Genealogy / Need to find out the birth date of my Grandfather Konstanty Klimowski [5]

Hi there.
Did your ancestor was born in Poland? The extent to which years? You know a lot about his family, but if you have information about birth place? The exact date of birth of ancestor you can determine on the basis of documents. This can be a birth certificate, marriage certificate sometimes, may the death certificate. It might be searching for documents in Poland, but here on the forum such information rather not get.

Genealogy / Jackowski, Wieckowski - Ancestors Search in Mława Poland [19]

Hi.
Currently metrics of Mtawa in two archives (those old they are not in the church). These metrics for kościła Catholic birth years: 1660-1748, 1801-1825,

1868-1899 (in the archives of the church), and from 1826 to 1878, 1880 to 1911 (state archives).
I do not see while in the area of Mława the village Popowka. Is the place is well read?
I checked that in Mława lived at the time of the family Jackowski, it could be your relatives.
For some time dealing with genealogy professionally, if you would like to use our services recommend page genealogia polonica.

Genealogy / Looking for my Polish family of Jozef Zdrojewski [6]

Hi.
I send the metric.
This metric is the number 1510, the Russian language. On January 26 was born Józef Zdrojewski in Warsaw, in the parish of All Saints. Father Jan Zdrojewski 52 years, mother Marianna nee Gołębiewska 42 years, godparents Klemens Bojanowski and Balbina Bojanowska.

Of course we do not know whether it is your Joseph. There is a need for more information about the family. If you know something about Joseph's siblings - it was that very important information.

Name Joseph is very popular at the time.
Regards Eve

Genealogy / Looking for my Polish family of Jozef Zdrojewski [6]

Hi.

I found a birth certificate for Józef Zdrojewski in Warszawa in 1888, but his parents are John (Jan) and Marianna. Are you sure of the name George?

Genealogy / Genealogy Polish last names-- Bic/Bikowski/Byk [5]

If you want to find your ancestors in Poland you have to find more accurate information than Galicia. Poland does not have a good accessible database with the names of Galicia. The most complete data has a registry office - but the data younger than 100 years old are protected by law (access to a particular document are only relatives - need to demonstrate kinship). Older documents are in the archives (available to all), but there is not a full database indexes names.

If you want to find your real relatives, you need to know more. Find out everything that is written in the USA - death certificates, marriage certificates, information about siblings - or come alone or with a sibling. Next try to find the manifest. How do you manifest, you can try to find a place. In searching for Poland, the most important is to find a parish with which one came. When you find a parish, you can just start looking in Poland - either in the archive or in the parish. Here - not hide - handy someone who speaks Polish ...
