I would argue that it gave Poles access to better housing than they could afford due to the instability of the Złoty.
I'm led to believe that despite it all, those that held CHF mortgages over a longer term will still be significantly ahead of their peers with PLN mortgages. If interest rates in Poland climb significantly, then those with CHF mortgages will be laughing, particularly as a rise in CHF interest rates is highly unlikely in the medium term.
