UK, Ireland / EEA Permit processing times (if I get married inside the UK or outside the UK?) [5]

Hello Everyone,

I am an american engaged to a Polish national residing in the UK. We would like to settle in London, but we are unsure if we should get married in Poland or London. Once we are married I am going to apply for the EEA permit so I can join my fiancee in Europe. Is there a difference between processing times for the EEA permit if I get married inside the UK or outside the UK? If there is what are the different time frames?

Hi,

My Polish fiancé and I are looking into settling either in the UK or US. She lives in London and earns over £30,000 so we thought, considering the financials and processing times, it would be easier for me to go there. To do this, we are planning on getting married in Poland. Now since I am American and can got to the EU without ESTA or any other visa. Does it mean we can get married here and he can go back to the States and apply for the EEA family permit? Or do we need to apply for the a fiancé visa, get married there and have my EEA family visa being processed here? If so, are processing times for finacee visa same as for spousal visa and EEA permit?
