Law / How the hell this Poland's ZUS is calculated? [5]

Can someone please tell me who ZUS is calculated. the bases, the personal allowances.

And income tax for an individual who is working full time.

I give you an example how you can explain it to me.

UK tax year 6 April to 5 April (following year)
Yearly personal allowance: £7475 (monthly=£622.92); this means that if yearly you earn below £7475 you pay no tax. but above that you pay only the difference and its calculated (7476-7475)*20%

National Insurance:
if you earn more than £146 a week and up to £817 a week, you pay 12 per cent of the amount you earn between £146 and £817.

I know many of you here work in Poland! So can I get a brief idea please!!! Thanks

Work / Misrepresentation of employment- Poland [5]

under employment law 'the employer' (who isn't the agency)

So the term 'agent' is not same as in the English law- Agency Law? -someone who accepts contract on some's behalf.

the right to cancel (terminate) the employment contract at any time during the probationary period without any reason

there is no such clause in this contract. as far as i know contract can be accepted verbally or written. and the employer has up to 4 weeks to give a writen contract. But again to the probation bit- there is no such clause like this in this contract.

Work / Misrepresentation of employment- Poland [5]

Hi.

I need serious and reliable information.

My wife applied registered herself to a recruiter. the recruiter gave her a job in the with the position clearly stated as Customer service advisor.

the job is in Holland and there were certain specific conditions as well. they were as follows: Place of work confirm strictly to that post located in a specific area in Holland. Housing where organised by the recruiter and was said to be 23EURO per week with internet bills seperate.

Today my wife just got to holland couple of hours ago and everything is changed.

1) She is not going to work for the organisation she was told she will be working with.
2) Different post- a manual job.
3) different place of living- she has to move from where she is actually (her place of stay stated by the recruiter when she was still in Poland)

4) she now has to pay 83EURO per week as rent in her new place.

I know about employment law in the UK but not in Poland. Can you help me. Because I want to call that recruiter and throw some word of flowers before the close of business today and might well take legal actions.

Would this be considered as a misrepresentation in the Employment law????

Thanks

Real Estate / Moving to a new house in Poland- what do i need from the owner? [2]

hi. i was looking for a room couple of hours ago and i got one. when i enquired about the current housemates, i was told that 2 of them are looking for jobs and one is a student. however, i am a bit worried as i will be the only one working there and i dont want to be in a wrong house with the wrong people. i never felt like this before in my life although i changed house at least 8 times in 3 years. but now i am a bir reluctant BUT i badly need a place to live before the 11th of june.

i wanted to know how do i check on the property if the one claiming to be the owner is the real owner and some other details. However, I would like to know if there is any document i need from the one giving the place to rent. Like contract and any other stuff used in Poland?

700zl for a cozy room with 3 people living on top! Am I being framed?

Work / Salary and cost of living information - Krakow [257]

Half of ZUS is covered by company, and there is also small tax free amount

So it is calculated a bit same as in UK?? Like you have a yearly allowance of £7475 which is tax free? And your National Insurance (ZUS in Poland) is partly contributed by the employer?

Because if half of my pay is going to the government then I think I will need to request an increase that salary scale.

I have been on one website just now, calculatenetsalary (dot) com and they are showing a net monthly income of 1640zl @ 2000zl.

So what you think todays rate is in Krakow for a customer service advisor (language) or how much should some1 earn so that they can keep aside around 200-300zl/month?

The best option is to buy a lamb and process it on your own. 300 PLN for a 16-18 kilo lamb.

lol! yeah thanks! I think it will be better to go to the countryside and get a farming job as living in Krakow would be impossible if they take 40% out of my 2000zl.

Work / Salary and cost of living information - Krakow [257]

~40% will go into tax (18%) and zus

you mean 40% deductions= 18% tax and 'zus' (i dont know what it is) will be 22%?? So out of whatever I earn 40% will never be seen????

and for the room which you say is going to be around 800-1000zl where do you think i can get a decent room from?? any idea?

Merged: Cost of Living in Krakow-2012

Hi. I know that there are some threads with similar titles, but I would like a new and updated cost of living in Krakow.

I got a job in Krakow and the salary is still being discussed which I proposed for it to be around PLN 2000. I don't know if I said it too low or high. And the job in customer services.

Well I want to know if this 2000zl is enough for a young man to live in Krakow.

I won't go to disco's not spending too much time outside as I aint got any friends and on top I don't speak polish. I will have to rent a room around Opolska but doesnt matter if I get a room in kinda zone 3-4 of london. I know it will be a bit cheaper.

I would like to ask how much I will be spending on food. I eat only lamb and chicken as meat. I do enjoy my beers and vodkas from time to time.

i think my main costs are food and rent and partly travelling.

Please guys give me an idea...
