Travel / Vancouver to Warsaw - you'll NEVER guess what I found in Warsaw - my words => WTF [10]

Damn right I'm enthusiastic... Fluevog is like a cult in Vancouver. There is a little worship temple at YVR airport (see my cell phone shot) and a Fluevog exhibit at the Vancouver Museum (saw it last summer).

But I guess people might not understand if you are not from there (it's a Vancouver thing), just like the Scottish like their haggis.

pip
They had way more women's than men's and they had other brands as well, such as Tsubo which were less expensive than Fleuvog.

I paid 800 (something), which is reasonable as Fluevogs are typically expensive (around 250 CAD plus the dreaded HST)... not bad anyway. One thing I like about Poland (Europe)... the price you see is the price you pay, unlike in Canada.

Warsaw has a lot of cool things that trump Vancouver. I hate the fact that all the Yaletown pubs close their patios at 10:00pm. I hate the living costs of Vancouver. Of course I miss walks around Stanley Park and the mountains but I realize those things I just can't bring. The weather in Vancouver I don't miss and I prefer soccer to hockey. Shopping... isn't this what I'm talking about?

For me its pretty cool that I stumble upon a familiar Vancouver cult classic (of all places) in Warsaw.

I've been living in Warsaw for over 7 months now (from Vancouver). There aren't many things I miss from Canada but this was one of them, hahaha but not anymore !!!

This past Saturday afternoon I was shopping and decided to grab some sushi on Zgoda 5 (fantastic sushi by the way). On approach I look up and see these big ass banners just above the sushi joint and I say to myself WTF ? So I strolled right past the sashimi, through the court yard, and into this awesome little retro shop. They've been open just a few weeks, and they have Fluevogs !!!

Being from Vancouver I use to frequent their Granville Street store (I own a lot of Vogs). Some of you Canadians/Americans might be familiar with John Fluevog, but if you aren't he's a legendary shoe designer from Vancouver with a cult following (Celebrities alike). He has shops in most major cities in Canada/USA, LA, NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto... however I've never seen his shoes sold in Europe.... wait I just checked the Fluevog website and apparently there are 3 shops in Europe which carry Fluevogs - one in Ice Land, one in Germany, and ONE IN WARSAW !!!!

Anyway I picked up some friggin HOT Radios CBC in purple to grace the streets of Warszawa (attached image courtesy from some blog) !!!! AWESOME !!!

I'm rockin !!!

If there are any Fluevogers living here check em out... the place is called "Raspberry Heels" or "Malinowe Obcasy" (which translates into raspberry heels from Polish).
