Language / " Z kim sie zadajesz, takim sie stajesz " will it sound offensive written in a birthday card? [3]

Z kim sie zadajesz, takim sie stajesz

'You become whom you befreind'

Could this be taken the wrong way by a Polish girl if I write it in her birthday card?
To me it sounds like a compliment in translation, I only know basic Polish, however it may sound like a insult or even a rude remark in translation to someone who speaks Polish

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Love / Kiss on the eyes - Polish girl's way of being affectionate? [8]

When I grew up I adopted this very tradition with every girlfriend I've ever kissed. Not on a first date of course but once we were very comfortable with each other. I've never heard a single complaint and in fact my now ex-wife absolutely adored this bed-time tradition. :))

i may be warming to it too, at first it was a little weird :)

Kiss on the eyes means that she cheats in polish superstitions.

do you know this from experience, has a Polish girl cheated on you?

Well assuming that very Polish girl behaves in the same way, and every Polish girls is alike than it is-do you think that is really possible?

when you put it like that i can only say no :)
unless every Polish parent has kissed their daughters on the eyelids and they all grew up doing the same to their partners and/or children, wont it become common thing (eventually) just like a kiss on the cheek or forehead :D

Love / Kiss on the eyes - Polish girl's way of being affectionate? [8]

I've been dating a lovely Polish girl for a few months now and things are going well, she constantly tells me she likes me and always kisses me on my eyelids :) and now she has me doing it to her too, not somthing I've been accustomed to with other girls,

is this a common thing which only Polish girls do or am I just pointing out one girls way of being affectionate?
