Love / ARE POLISH GIRLS GOLD-DIGGERS? [359]

Dating expenses you are supposed to cover in all cases with slavic women.

Yup, that's true. But like I said - in polish society is normal. At least It was.

females are still females

And I think It should be the ending of our conversation.

Anyway, I'm happy that most of polish young women are able to connect family-life with getting a good education.

Love / ARE POLISH GIRLS GOLD-DIGGERS? [359]

I should quit my job and studies and look for some rich dutch guy lol.

I think the problem is the point of view, still different mentality. Even If we're talking about silly things like paying for a dinner in restaurant. It's changing with time, especially in young generation but most of polish women are just grew up with traditional image of a man - as householder. It's clear that money means a sense of security BUT It doesn't mean that they try to catch the richest man in the neighborhood. I have never met this kind of polish woman in my life.

I want to be independent but I woudn't feel comfortable with feeling that I earn more than my partner. I suspect It's all because of way of raising and authority of my father.

I'm thinking how does It look now in polish way of thinking? Would you (polish men) like to earn less than your wife/partner?

And next thing, I agree that polish women are more "house wifes" type but we shouldn't generalize all women. I know a lot of exeptions:)

Language / Polish nationality insults in Polish? [67]

1. Going Dutch: paying seperately when going to a party
2. Talking double Dutch: talking gibberish

Great, I didn't know about that but this makes sense.

I haven't heard any proverbs in Holland connected with Poles yet. Do you know maybe?

Work / 1350 PLN for scholarship in Poland... Is that sum enough to pay for studying? [12]

University of Warsaw is public - free from paying. I don't know how much you have to pay for room in that city, I guess around 500 zł, maybe more (eg in Poznań or Wrocław is normal price). You can check student's house ("akademik"), It's cheaper solution.

I have no idea how does It work with foreigners in Poland but I'm sure you will need some health insurance. You have to count with some costs of books, food or just entertainment. Anyway, in my opinion It sould be enough. Believe me, I know many students who are able to survive for an amount much lower;) and always you can find some extra job.
