Love / In 2009 nearly 4000 Poles married a foreigner [170]
Im late to the party (and I'm not even sure I want an invite) but!
I'm a New Zealander married to a Polish guy - absolute angel, sweet, kind, tender and thoughtful, and still very happy after 5 years together. Neither of us expects the other to support the other; we're a partnership, working together to help each other happy and safe.
His uncle is married to a Japanese girl; lovely girl, great guy - they've lived in Poland for a while, lived in Japan for a bit, and now living in London.
His cousins are married to a Mauritian guy (apologies if thats not the right nationality moniker), French girl, Canadian girl and Canadian guy, and Irish girl.
They're just average Poles; tradesmen (plumbers, builders) or higher educated (lawyers, accountants etc), just like the people they've married (stock brokers, accountants, teachers, receptionists etc).
True love doesnt have a colour, let alone nationality.
