Food / Poland known for their sweets? [67]

I can tell you that polish chocolate candies are awesome ! especially the ones containing alcohol and liqueurs. My husband is non-polish and he absolutely looooves them !I also recommend KROWKA candies and gingerbread cookies from Kopernik factory.Worth trying !!!

Thanks alot Toofunky! :) are those Krowka ones the ones with a cow? they sure look good... I was checking that website and man... it even explains how they make them and believe me, it sounds like alot of work: they must be delicious! :)

from an english perspective, polish sweets, whilst quite nice, tend to be a little old fashioned... the sort of thing granny gave you thirty years ago...

ohhh I see... but wouldn't that mean they taste better then? isn't it better the "old granny way" nowadays where all is transformed and mixed in an Industrial, full of sugar and chemicals way? .... or am I just being an idealist?

I really like the chocolate covered plums. mmmmmmmmm so good.......

ohh really? I wonder if they have it in that website because I think I've tried those before! ohh I remember now, thanks! :)

I'm sorry! I really am a newbie at this! :| ... Hum... therefore, I have to admit that I don't have a clue on how to "refresh" my topic without having to start a new one? ... hehehe I'm really sorry, though!

Polish chocolates, really that good?

hey! I posted a little question in the General Discussions forum... but no one answered :( So here I'm, trying again!... I was wondering if someone would be able to tell me if the website shown in the General Discussions forum (chocoladka) is accurate about the Polish chocolates? Which ones are the best?

Humm... Thanks!

Food / Poland known for their sweets? [67]

Hi everybody,
I was just wondering if someone here could enlighten me. I noticed there was a link to a Polish chocolate website. Being the chocolate lover I'm, I went there out of curiosity... And there I found a lot of brands and sweets. I was shocked, I didn't know Poles had so much sweets to offer!! Does anybody know, then, which are the best? Is the website accurate? I would be curious to know that, the chocolates looked very good and the prices were VERY low (you know the kind of situation where you say: it's too good to be true). Therefore, I was wondering if some expert would be willing to help this not-Polish person! :)

Thanks in advance!
