actually, it not really 'better' because there was so Many of Szlachta families. and in some regions they were given titles like social Welfare cards (for example in Latvia, many Latvians of all ancestrys - about half them being Germans, chose to accept the titles and subsequently be Polonized - this did not really make them 'better'.
