Do many Polish people in America hate Americans? [592]
I don't think of me, myself, or anyone I hang with as lazy, or idiotic. I'm half Polish, from my mom, and then I have German and French from my dad, and a bit of Irish somehow too. Isn't that strange? I'm part German and Polish? Not to be racial or anything, but the Germans tried to MURDER the Poles during WWII didn't they? That's actually the reason my mom's family came over here to America, before Adolf Hitler released his wrath on the Poles. But I think most of the Germans were probably good people, I mean, they were probably just following Hitler's orders so that he didn't go crazy and kill their family too!
Only thing is, my family's been here for so long, I barely know anything about my heritage! My mom was the youngest of her siblings and was bilingual, Polish and English, but when her grandpa died, her family stopped speaking it. I don't see my mom's family that much anymore either. (They live a few hours away) It's not like I'm too lazy to learn Polish or go to Poland or anything, but it's not that easy. When people say English is a tough language to learn, they don't know how hard Polish seems for someone who's spoke English her entire life!
