Now that I really think about it, I cannot drink any of the Czech pilsners. I don't know why but it tastes "tinny" to me. Okocim, Tyskie, etc I like as well as Wolters and Braunschweiger but the pilsners do not agree with me for some reason.

I do not get a hangover from beer but for some reason the taste of the Czech pilsner turns me off. I had an Urquell and another one in Wroclaw and I could not even drink half the bottle. I was looking forward to the pilsners!

You need to put your hands on as much documentation as you can regarding when your Polish ancestors arrived in the US, their correct names at that time (especially if they americanised their names), what town or village they were from, etc. This will help you narrow down your search.

Is it hearsay or do you have some "proof" to confirm your belief that she work for British Intelligence?

My father served during WW2 was was believed to have been involved in intelligence activities. He was at the University of Lwow in 1939 and (like a lot of Poles) was fluent in German, Russian but he also spoke English, French and some Spanish. A lot of his friends and co-workers suspected he was involved with intelligence but that's all there was.........suspicion, no proof.

Stefan died in 1992 in Newmarket. His son David is in the RN and his grandchildren live up north in Scotland.

This should contain the names of his father and mother together with birth place and date. That should give you a good starting point for further research in the Polish parish archives.

I don't think you will find any Polish records online as you would for US or UK records on ancestry. Once you have located your ancestors home town in Poland or Galicia you will probably have to use a genealogy researcher in Poland or Ukraine to go through the relevant parish archives.

Law / Citizenship of Poland can be obtained through the blood line but my ancestor could lose it in the past [45]

My father was part of the 24th Lancers in 1939 and stayed in the UK after the end of the war. He became a naturalized UK citizen in 1957. I recently sent my documents to the Polish embassy in Caracas querying if I was entitled to Polish citizenship and they replied confirming that I was so entitled. I have to go to Warsaw to lodge my application. Not bad, 3 passports!
