Real Estate / IS IT A GOOD TIME TO INVEST IN POLISH REAL ESTATE? [83]

I am Polish and living in Australia where I have bought, renovated and developed property here in state of Queensland. I am not a real estate agent, but someone who has a vested interest of course in property. Professionally I am a civil engineer, and involved in construction. The comment about location location location is so true.
Also right now in Australia the property prices are on the move, and interest rates are going up whilst the unemployment is going down. Australia has done very well during the GFC...at the end of the day Australia is an open mining pit and can sell resources off to the Chinese and the likes.
I am heading off to Poland in August for a holiday to catch up with family and friends where I am also looking at the real estate market there, as I think there is good opps there, as the AUD is high and making property prices w Polsce attractive compared to here w Australia. However I need to account currency flactuations.
Anyway if anyone is interested in looking at talking about real estate here in Australia or thinking of moving here to Australia, or any other Polaks currently living here I am keen to share my knowledge with...e-mail gcoglan@tpg.com.au

I am living in Australia, and am going to Poland for a holiday to catch up with friends and family in August. Its been a while. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows about the importing costs of bringing a car from Poland to Australia. I am looking at a getting an Audi or Merc, and was wondering if anyone knew of some good dealers in Warszawa or Krakow. Can you post their websites in this thread.
