When I was talking about that most Kashubs that were in the Wehrmacht were "forced" I've meant it like this:
After they had become German citizen, they waited until they became their "Einberufung" to the Wehrmacht. Because they knew it would have consequences for them if they would try to escape somewhere, they went to the Wehrbezirkskommando on the next day and were recruited later. What I had on my mind was that they did not came to the Wehrmacht first, they waited until the Wehrmacht came to them :).

If you think that your communist propaganda is right then I'm missinformed as hell. You seem to be really good at avoiding more truthful sources then your's are.

A lot here looks like your ancestors were German.

They had the German citizenchip in war, but they weren't ethnic German. I hope you understand the difference (I guess it's really hard to catch it for you).

Maybe your family have lied to you over the years, in order to keep this true information from you.

Trust me, they didn't.
But I heard reports about people that were actually Volksdeutsche / ethnic Germans in Poland that hided after the war and told that they were in the resistance and were more Polish then every Pole could be. And as beelzebub mentioned right, those persons that really did it, don't brag about it. Maybe your family have lied to you over the years? Best check out those skeletons in the cupboard.

As I said serval times, Inform yourself first, then we can talk. Up to now you haven't brought anything useful to the table. Maybe by "stressing" "traitors" you try to make amends what your ancestors had done in the past? But it's ok, you are a kid.

I'll look it up. But I can guarantee 100% that we were DVL 3 and were forced to go to the Wehrmacht. I think I've must been mistaken then with the "Ariel - Nachweis ;)".

But if your family had the Arier-Nachweis then you are full blooded Germans as in Volksliste 1 (Congratulations).

Thats the first time I hear that! But I can guarente you, that all my ancestors were Volksliste 3 and there was no German ancestry. In my ancestry were the majority Kashubs, a few Poles and we got the "Ariernachweis" without any problems. Hmm, maybe it was so, because my ancestors spoke German quiet well...?

Right now I'm not that sure anymore with the Ariernachweis, but I'll look it up.

Those with the Arier-Nachweis!

But my ancestors had also an Arier - Nachweis and were categorized as Volksliste 3. We and many other people needed this to prove that there were no Jewish familiymembers in our ancestry. And there was absolutly no German blood involved! But maybe this comes so, because my ancestors were / are Kashubian.

But very rarely people were forced into 1 or 2.

I agree with you here on a 100 %, those that were 1 or 2 were voluntary there.

It is illogical to force non-Germans and it was not regular practic.... but that narrative was the big and useful alibi after the war!

Belive me, the non ethnic German DVL 3 people were forced and it was regular practic. Yes, it is illogical, but that how things went on here, at least in the "Reichsgau Danzig - Westpreußen"! The Veterans etc. could lie, but not their "Wehrpäße". By all of them there stood "Wehrpflichtiger".

All this "we were forced" was a convenient alibi once the Wehrmacht left...understandable but still only an alibi to survive the course of events!

According to the people that were in the DVL 3 ("Eingedeutschte") they the vast majority was indeed forced to go to the Wehrmacht. They were "Wehrpflichtige" and not "Freiwillige". The German citizenchip was voluntarily (you had the choice, take it, and live a more or less peacefull life, or don't take, stay a polish citizen and get maybe deported as a Pole to a concentration camp).

Do you mean by Germans only ethnic Germans or also people with a German citizenship (like Kashubs etc.)?

The point is, that the Volksdeutsche went voluntarily to the Wehrmacht and became voluntarily citizen of the "Reich". The "DVL 3 men" were forced to do so, what means, that they were not traitors.

And who informed you ?

Ehr... I was talking about Kashubs and Poles and you are appear with a link that is about Volksdeutsche, about ethnic Germans. The ethnic Germans / Volksdeutsche that lived on the former German territory, wich was in this time Polish, did collaborate with the Germans. No doubts about that. They were caterozied as "DVL 2". But we aren't talking about these people, well I'm certainly not. We are talking about the people that were DVL 3.

After the war the communist lied, that the people that signed the DVL 3 were "Volksdeutsche" and collaborated with the Germans and couldn't wait to crawl as deep as they could into the Germans ass. What a crap...

Well, obviously you've belived in these lies, instead of informing yourself properly.

Ok, by this statement you have showen me, that you don't know what you are talking about. When in 1941 the Germans on the annexed territory brought out the Volksliste,

my ancestors and hundred of thousand other people from the annexed territory were asked, if they want to become a German citizen of the third and last class (Volksliste 3, the polish exil government even advised these men to do so and desert later) and get forced to go to the Wehrmacht, or stay a Polish citizen and a "subhuman" in the eyes of the Germans, and get maybe deported within the next days to Stutthof or somewhere else. Most of these "DVL 3 - men" were known as the most unreliable soldiers and most of them deserted anyway as quick as they could to the allies (So did mine :D).

Wich option would you have chosen if you were married and had little children? Before they had to sign the DVL, they were treated like ****. 2 of my ancestors were killed by Germans because they were in their eyes worthless "subhumans". Also traitors I guess?

... and you are interested in their military career I have a few interesting shelters for you.

The first you can do is contact the "Deutsche Dienststelle" (maybe better known as WASt - Wehrmachts Auskunfts Stelle) and ask for the military career of your person. You can do it online, or do it per letter. I would always do it per letter because only a minority of the inquirer do it and so it's quicker. I'm sure that there won't be any problems when you write the letter in English. But please keep in minde, that the reply will be in German! The costs are about 20€ and unfortuanatly it will take about nine month until they reply, but if you are really interested, I would do it (I already have twice :D). If older people are the inquirer they can be very hurry and might reply you in a few month. The result are various... but the less it is, the less you have to pay (sometimes when it's the result is very sparse, you even get it for free). Another good shelter that I can strongly advise is the "Volksbund deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge". The "VdK" takes care of the graves from the soldiers. If your ancestor maybe was killed in action or missed in action, you can check this link out, where many soldiers that were KIA or MIA are listed (volksbund.de/graebersuche/content_suche.asp). There will appear a formular and you have to fill it out (it doesn't has to be your real name) to see the results. If you fill it out with your real name, you'll have a few weeks later post from them. They ask if don't want to send them a bit money and support them; but the service of the website is free and everbody can use it. If you find your ancestor there, you can phone them and ask for more information. To get the maximum result you have to be stubborn. I talk from my own experience, because I got everthing they had about my ancestor after the thrid or fourth call. It also depends on the person you'll have on the other line there I guess. When you call, ask for things like the last unit, the inscription of the dog tag (in this unit he got trained), the reason of the death etc. I've never talked to them on English, but I'm here also sure, that 'll know English.
