tbh I think she was planning on dumping me eventually to go back to PL anyway, I just beat her to it ;)

I wish someone would buy me flowers - or at least a houseplant lol - only one gf ever bought me them, lol

i used to ask my ex why he didn't buy me flowers and his answer was always 'because they die'. boyfriends die too, it just takes them longer than flowers.

lol! :)

I bought my ex flowers; not that she was ever grateful tho - she once even said to me

"never mind buying me presents, that means nothing, what I want is you here with me, every evening".

So that she could keep an eye on me, of course - nothing else.

I soon got bored, and she soon got dumped after that. :D

Agreed, it's all there.

If someone can explain to me how someone can live on 3000PLN (gross) when a small flat can easily cost the same, and can further can explain why that is somehow "better" than living/working here in the UK - where I can easily get a small house or flat for £400-450/month (2000-2500PLN), while taking home the equivalent of 9000PLN a month - then I'm willing to listen.

But I doubt that I'll be convinced somehow ;)

The 35-hour week is not everywhere in Europe.

Certainly not here in the UK, not in my job at least.

I do 37.5 paid hours (plus several unpaid every week - we can't go until everything's done) and I have to be "around" for at least 41 per week, whatever happens. The job keeps running but we don't get paid breaks, and we can get dragged off our breaks if needed.

And I think I'm well off compared to a lot of others!
