Love / Polish Girls negative or positive personality trait? [267]

buy a potted feckin plant, Einstein!

My exs all killed my plants. I guess watering occasionally was too much if I wasn't there to do it. Can you imagine the horror to come home to brown shriveled up former life? I have a tear welling up now just thinking about it....

yeah but after some time you move on and stop being a moaning bitter sod

Oh I am fine now on that front...I just acknowledge experience. And if the mods are fair they will remove Harry's insult as they did everything I said agaisnt him...we will see IF they are.

i used to ask my ex why he didn't buy me flowers and his answer was always 'because they die'. boyfriends die too, it just takes them longer than flowers.

They don't die...women kill them. Suck the life right out of you (somebody can run with that one)

USA, Canada / Do many Polish people in America hate Americans? [592]

You inferred much more...just be honest...its not hard....and of course you prefer Europe better...we naturally prefer our homes when all things settle.

USA, Canada / Do many Polish people in America hate Americans? [592]

Americans live to work, Europeans work to live.

This is just not true. It is like most other wive's tales and urban myths....nonsense.

Your life was tough because of your situation, being in a foreign culture, and your specific job. Many Americans enjoy wonderful lifestyles...many don't...EXACTLY like Europe. Stop this ridiculous nonsense.

USA, Canada / Do many Polish people in America hate Americans? [592]

I can go to a café have a drink or two or spend the whole evening at a terrasse when the weather is nice and still I can pay all my bills, my rent, travels and plenty of other things.

As can just as many people in America...despite what you want to be true. Your preference is of no consequence to me...just don't lie about the US lifestyle to try and make yours look better...its shameful. If life were so poor in the US people wouldnt travel there from all over the world including Poland for medical care and education for example.

And anyone who claims they prefer paying twice as much for a laptop...or three times as much for Levis is so blatantly dishonest its ridiculous. I know it is in your cultural make up to claim superiority but give it a rest. This need to be 'better' is tiring.

Nowhere in my post did I say the Polish work week is superior

You said it was better...better =superior.

And using New York as the benchmark for the entire US is dishonest. It's like saying the Warsaw Central Station represents all life in Poland. I see more homeless people in Warsaw every day than I ever did in the USA...see how that works? You are inferring that Europe is 'better' because you claim the USA has more homeless and poor...its horribly dishonest.

This actually allows you to better ballance work and private life and I find it better than the American "I work 2 shifts and still can't pay my bills" system.

That why most Poles are extended on credit? There is no way they could afford 500,000pln flats and cars, huge flat panel TVs, clothing and computers that cost twice as much as they do in the US and all the overpriced goods here on the salaries common here which are lower than in the US. To claim the Polish work week is somehow 'superior' is absurd.

From what I've seen Canucks have quite a few themselves..

I find it amusing that so many people slag off the USA yet they imitate and buy our music, watch our movies, buy our clothes etc. They make false claims about our education or fitness to make themselves feel superior in some way. Most of them have never been to the USA. It is sport to hate us...yet they keep coming....keep staying illegally...keep taking while cursing us....funny that.

News / Are Polish People Being Discriminated Against? Problems getting a US visa. [258]

Ah! So it is policy based on bias and prejudice.......!
You are contradicting yourself sweet pie!

No I am not..I am saying what I have always said...as soon as Poles stop overstaying in numbers that exceed the allowed limit they will get visa free travel. Poles ARE illegal immigrants to the US in larger numbers than most nations and DO exceed the allowed percentage. It's all math...not racial. Start behaving like your neighbors who are allowed in and you will be as well. Keep acting the same and you won't :)

I cant imagine why in the world any place would bother singling out Poles and altering their immigration policy anyway...do you really think that much of yourself? Why do Poles think they are so special to be discriminated against so exclusively?

Sonny chuckle, choke or whatever your pleasure ...
Who is angry? Not me ....sorry to disappoint you babe :)

I will stick with chuckling at the cries of victimization so prevalent here. I couldn't care less if you are angry or not...in fact you don't matter to me at all...there are plenty who are angry about the issue and a lot of them in this very forum...poor poor victims.

I know it hurts you to admit your people are seen as commonly illegal immigrants. Try not taking it so personally...unless of course you are one of them.

I chuckle at how angry Poles get about the visa issue. It has to infuriate them that Czechs. Lithuanians, Slovakians etc don't need them but they do. And of course like everything else it MUST be some purposeful conspiracy against poor oppressed Poland. It can't possibly be due to anything Poles have done like say....oh maybe...overstaying visas in large numbers? Nope that can't be it. It is surely a diabolical plan to victimize Poland.

Study / Is Poland a good place to study for Black Africans? [90]

please, do not compare poland with russia.. russia is a wild country, poland is a european one

Ah yes Poland is a very posh and modern European country. Nothing at all like Russia with the bureaucratic corruption and poor attitudes. Nothing at all.

I can't imagine why a black person would subject themselves to Poland. They will be stared at and the butt of jokes (saw it just today with two Africans in the mall) Not by everyone of course but by more than in more integrated cultures. Poland is very 'white' and they prefer it that way.

Law / Laundromats in Poland? Good business venture or not? [90]

It would fail. Everyone has a machine at home or they take it to their parents. Hotels have cleaning services. There are not enough budget travelers or transients to justify them. Not to mention open to the public laudromats are often vandalized and if they have automatic payment centers the machines robbed. (I have seen this in other EU nations) If you had set hours with an attendant you could avoid the last two worries...but anyway there are not enough potential customers. Nobody is going to pay more money for something they can do at a relatives or friends should they not have a machine.

Food / Where to buy British mature Cheddar Cheese and salted butter in Poland? [289]

Because here its common with all goods in Poland. They have something for a while...then not for a while...you never know when they will restock and they clearly don't plan stocking well. Often you want to pick up something but you cant for a couple weeks. In the US this is never a problem. If something is out of stock it is replaced by next day latest.

I have never seen it this bad anywhere else so yeah it is typical to Poland...goes along with a lot of the inefficient behaviors here.

The CarreFour in ZloteTarasy has 3 kinds of good quality cheddar. It's not in the deli by the regular cheese but rather over near the icecream/frozen pizza corner, in a stand alone cooler with hams/hot dogs/sausage on two sides and cheese on two sides. The stock varies...sometimes they have it sometimes they don't for a week or two....typical Poland restocking.

I also saw some Irish butter but cant say if it was salted.
