USA, Canada / Do many Polish people in America hate Americans? [592]

Hi all!
I have read these interesting posts and here's what I think.
First of all I can't help feeling a little sorry for Lucynda as it was just a question from an opinionated statement made by a friend and it has sparked a somewhat heated debate.

However, I can say that I have had discussions with many Polish people here in London both professionally and socially and although I have respect for them being a pleasant and hard working people, I have consistently been told by them that Polish people do particularly 'dislike other Poles'. If this be true then just possibly there may be some truth in Lucynda's girlfriend's statement/opinion regarding their dislike of Americans.

As for the Americans not travelling abroad well why do they need to, the US is such a large and diverse country they have everything they need for a vacation within their borders, many different types of terrain, picturesque mountains for skiing and blue oceans with beautiful sandy beaches?

As a Brit I sympathise with some of the excessive criticism that they receive. We had their job previously running the World and I have received insults and negative remarks for most of my early life because of this.......at least the pressure is off us now and seems to be on them, the poor souls (SOBs).

Yes it's true, they come across a bit dumb sometimes and the Brits make fun of them occasionally and it's just that, bottom line- 'fun' but do not forget the World owes them a great deal in the way of inventions/innovations and their role during WW2 and as peacekeepers form the nuclear threat ever since. Hope I haven’t upset anyone.

I think they should get the President to increase their vacation days though!
