Life / Do you think a smoking ban would be a good thing in Polish restaurants and Bars? [217]

It's better that people don't smoke in restaurants much like I don't want someone to smoke at my dinner table. In the UK the smoking ban affected a lot of places for sure. Who wants to stand in the snow and smoke when they can get a few friends and beers and be at home with TV, computer and own music.

Love / WHY DO POLISH MEN LIE? [150]

When talking about lying please note that women are more deceptive than men. Think about it.

Men are deceptive too :)

Who wears the makeup?

Men, maybe even before women...warpaint... ;)

Who um, pads certain body parts?

Men! Sock down underpants is not a women thing, neither is it a new thing! ;)

Who colors their hair?

Men. Grecian 2000 was far more well known that many womens hair colouring products. :)

Who buys ridiculous amounts of shoes? clothes? etc.
Who asks, "do I look fat in (fill in the blank) this?" (and wants a dishonest answer)
Who says "I only look at a cookie and gain 10 pounds" (that's a lie you know)

Men. Lets say in particular sportsmen. Footballers to be precise and American rap stars. :)

As to the query "Why do Polish Men Lie?" Well, it's better than standing up sometimes... :P

UK, Ireland / Mercy flight for dying Polish woman living in the UK [21]

Presumably it would be very distressing for her son to be brought to the UK to see his dying mother. I imagine the rest of the family are in Poland. I imagine her wishes were to return to Poland. I assume she wouldn't want her son to be in a distressed state in a country foreign to him with perhaps not many people around to help (people that the boy would know).

Local people have donated £9000.

Good for them. They have given this lady some time with her son and family. Those people should be recognised in the honours lists for their generosity in a time of need and in a time where they gave up some cash that might not necessarily have been spare cash. Good people.

Love / Polish guys who have never had girlfriends [71]

When was the last time that you had a blood test????

In Poland (and much the rest of Europe) this is not a question a polite male would ask a female in public. It would be part of a more intimate conversation done in private. So don't be surprised at the answer you received.
