History / "Poland's Concentration Camp" ?? [570]

The history revisionist 'Harry' has not only been active on "Polish Forums" spewing his anti-Polish hatred. His similar hate filled comments have also been seen on a particular worthless Warsaw based blog (better not to mention it as not to provide free publicity). This same blog is run by a Radio Polonia employee originally from the Ireland / UK area. His views are very similar to that of Harry's: anti-Polish, anti-Catholic, distorted view of Polish-Jewish history. The interesting thing about this particular poorly written blog is that the owner provides a link to another blog called "Harry's Place", which consists of several anonymous writers who never reveal their true identities or real names. So it is quite possible that "Harry" is nothing more than several unknown writers, and not one single individual.

Here are more facts about Harry's place:

- it is a British politicial weblog of the pro-liberation left.

- is a defender of Israel's right to exist within safe and secure boundaries. It is highly critical of Islamism and of allegedly totalitarian, pro-Islamist, and anti-Semitic tendencies on the left.

- Harry's Place was originally started by a writer using the nom de plume Harry Hatchet (aka "Harry" - none of Harry's Place writers use their full name), who was originally the sole writer. Harry was active in British anti-fascist and Marxist politics in the mid-to-late 1980s, and in this period was also a member of the Straight Left faction of the Communist Party of Great Britain.

- he became well-known among fellow contributors for his support for "orthodox" Soviet Communism.

Here is an example of the profile of one 'known' blogger on Harry's Place, Gene Zitver:

Gene blogs at Harry's Place.

Why do you blog? > Harry invited me to join Harry's Place after I posted some comments there and after he read some of my posts on a George Orwell newsgroup. I soon discovered I enjoyed sending my opinions into cyberspace and getting reactions to them.

What has been your best blogging experience? > Discovering many politically like-minded people - i.e. leftists who aren't reflexively anti-American and anti-Israel.

Gene was was born and raised in the Washington DC area, and graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. In 1992 he moved to Israel, where he worked as a technical writer. He returned to the Washington area in 2000. Gene blogs at Harry's Place.

So, is "Harry" of "Polish Forums" part of "Harry's Place", or totally unrelated? Only Polish Forums knows the true IP address of "Harry", and where his hate and revisionism originate from. Harry should be banned from this forum.

History / "Poland's Concentration Camp" ?? [570]

Do explain why it is revisionist to point out that Poland operated pre and post-war concentration camps.

Because "Poland" didn't exist during or after WWII until 1990, that's why. It was "German Occupied Poland" during most of WWII. amd "Soviet Occupied Poland" or "Communist Poland" after WWII, and not independent "Poland". This is an important and distinct difference. It's like saying Nazi Germany's concentration camps were constructed in "Poland"...they weren't. They were constructed and operated by the Germans in "German Occupied Poland".

Any Poles of the Jewish or Catholic faith who supported and ruled under communism were never accepted by an independent Poland free of Soviet or Russian rule. They were loathed, denounced, and not accepted by citizens of a free and independent Poland.

Please provide valid proof or a link for your absurd claim ? "Polish Concentration Camps" did not exist in pre-war independent Poland, occupied wartime, or post war Poland.

History / "Poland's Concentration Camp" ?? [570]

You do seem to dislike the fact that the official name of "Auschwitz Nazi German Concentration Camp" includes "German" in it. We wonder why? Can this be due to the fact? ...

- Your true name is "Harry Irrgang" and you live and work in Warsaw, Poland
- You worked for the Warsaw Voice (anti-Polish and anti-Catholic newspaper) as Copy Editor and Translator (which explains why you defended the newspaper and columnist in a thread on Polish Forums)

- You work for Lacrosse Language Consultancy on ul. Sienna 39 (Warsaw Towers) as a Senior Translator of Polish and German into English (hmm...German)

Based on a search for the surname "Irrgang" on the Ellis Island database, seems like you are of German ancestory, with most likely Christian and possibly Jewish roots.

Here are the results of a search from the Ellis Island immigration database on the internet:

Name - Place of Birth - Nationality

Ernestine Irrgang - Pryeinyol, Austria - Austria, Hebrew
Heinrich Irrgang - Berlin, Germany - Germany, German
Hensel Irrgang - Belbergsdorf, Germany - Germany, German
Karl Irrgang - Wulting, Germany - Germany, German
Kathe Irrgang - Lehe, Germany - Germany, German
Max Irrgang - Allenmarkt, Germany - Germany, German
Michael Irrgang - Amberg, Germany - Germany, German
Paul Irrgang - Lehe, Germany - Germany, German
Wilhelm Irrgang - Breslau, Germany - Germany, German

We realize how painful it must be for you to face the fact that Auschwitz was built and operated by the Germans. Hurts, doesn't it Harry? The world of lawyers is a small one. Poles should really boycott the firms you work for.

News / Goldman Sachs says it will no longer profit from undermining Polish zloty [29]

Goldman Sachs simply hedged their bets and went short on Polish currency. They correctly predicted the value of the Polish currency would fall, and it did. There is nothing illegal about going short. One can go long or short. Anyone with market saavy and some cash to invest can do the same.

All of these Polish firms (banks and other) could also have purchased short contracts on Polish currency, and they would not be in the mess they are in today, at this point in time of course.
