PO liberal economics, less bureaucracy, thinking about future, pro European, in some cases conservative.

PiS social economics, bureaucrats, anty communistic, fighting corruption, definitely conservative,

LiD -, corrupted, lazy (ex) communists who pretend to be our Labors party, submissive in European relationships

PSL - cooperate with everybody for some concessions for their electorate (farmers)

Samoobrona - populists

LPR- nationalists

What about abortion and religion

We have kind of compromise, there is status quo, and main forces of parliament don’t change the abortion laws (you can have legal abortion only in some cases).

Religion .... to be honest PiS and LPR seams to use church (or some of its parts) in their policy (to get new electorate) . We have rather conservative country, so most politicians like to show themselves religious and serious about church … sometimes it looks funny.

what can be interesting Sobieski didnt want to help Austrians, he had good contacts with France, and he rather prefered cooperate with them. That means, let Ottomans smash Austrians ... In Poland, kings position was weak, and our nobels prefered to help christian brothers (Austrians), so Sobieski just enforced our nobels decision. He did it in grate way ... but it was horrible mistake. Strong Ottoman empire would be problem for Russians and definately Austrians.

In separate wars against Russians, Prusians or Austrians. We would smash them ...

Poland will hold parliamentary elections next month, two years ahead of schedule, with Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski rallying support for a traditional brand of conservatism.

The Battle of Grunwald (or 1st Battle of Tannenberg) took place on July 15, 1410 with the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania ranged against the Knights of the Teutonic Order. It was the decisive engagement in the Polish-Lithuanian-Teutonic War (1409-1411) and one of the greatest battles of medieval Europe.

The battle saw the Monastic State of the Teutonic Knights decisively defeated - and the order never recovered its former power.

The few eyewitness accounts are contradictory. It took place near several smaller villages, and different names in various languages are attributed to it.

Oh I see that It hurts when on the other painting of this artist Russians are shown on knees ...

But the fact is that, it this battle Teutonic Knights (mostly Germans) were beaten ...

The fact is that the situation form other paintings appeared as well. What means Russians were on the knees, and it is historical fact which appear in books. The fact is that only Poles have beaten you, in way you accepted this fact. Your tsar (beging in Cracow for help) converted in to Catholic religion and was our puppet. There was Polish flag on top of Kremlin (moscov) (historical fact) ... read more about your history in XVII century .

as to size of this battle there is discussion (look into my previous link) which medieval battle was the bigest : Battle of Grunwald or Battle of Towton (English prefere their) but I prefere our ...

i would love to see this battle in the way they made 300.

Intersting ;) I preffere not to see how Americans would show our Tatars ;))))

Because every country has similar problems and histories. Right now, America is the country being the dirtiest, in my opinion.

I agree, but look on the dirties times of other nations ...

Besides, political Poland is WAY TOO homophobic for me to tolerate right now.

you will find gay club in every big town ... and I think it is discussion about america

As to America, your power should be moral power, of giving people freedom, after it you can take profit (McDonald invasion ;) ). But Iraq is wrong we are there with you but I think it is wrong war. That things shouldnt happen:

What is interesting Iraqs citizens are happy there is no Saddam now, but the way you done it ...

Now you will have to pay a lot to repire your reputation.

All I think is that it was possible to win this war ...

Do you know that Iraq citizens calls our soldier when sb is planing to atack our base, just because we trate them as equal human, for example they can come to our base and ask our doctor for advice, normal human things.

At the beggining they had positve atittude towards you ...

The moral power, to give the people the right to chose their future, and when I watch TV and see your discussion about cost of the war, or about atacks on petrol instalation there ... ehhh

waiter in Poznan on "stary rynek" in summer can earn (tips included) about 3000-4000 PLN (!!!) it is about 1000 EUR per mouth ... unemplyment in Poznan is about 4,5% ...

He is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers for piano of all time.

Before Chopin's funeral, pursuant to his dying wish, his heart was removed (he dreaded being buried alive) to be taken by his sister in an urn to Warsaw. There it remains sealed within a pillar of the Holy Cross Church (Kościół Świętego Krzyża) on Krakowskie Przedmieście, beneath an inscription from Matthew VI:21: "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
