Genealogy / Stanislaw (Jan) Czternastek & Bronislaw Wydrowski - searching info on Polish War Pilots [45]

Merged:

RAF Fighter Pilot

Hello:

I have the personal effects of a Polish Lieutenant who served in the RAF and who passed away in 1996 leaving no ancestors here. He is buried in Canada. He was a personal friend of the family. He leaves one daughter in England who resided in Radwell, Baldock in 1967. My intent is to mail these on to his ancestors. I cannot disclose too much information, as this serves to verify the lineage of the correspondent.

I have his flight logs (317,307 and Moroccan training school logs), passports, and various personal certificates.
It includes names of parents and Polish place of residents. There is nothing of monetary value in the effects.

My concerns, if the ancestor resides in Poland, would be the degree of cooperation of Poland in it's postal systems and border customs, and the degree of help and confidence in their system in getting the parcel to the ancestor. If he/she is in England or in the Dominion, I'm not too concerned.

Any help and advice will be appreciated.

Thank you.
