Life / How's the life of an LGBT person in Poland? [90]

I'm a gay guy soon shifting to Poland for my education and would like to know what is the scene of LGBT community in Poland. Are Polish people Anti-LGBT like Russia and other Arab nations or they're supportive like Spain and Germany?

I've heard that polish people are often aggressive and hateful towards the LGBT people.

Though I'm a closeted I don't mind dating a polish guy if things work out so would like to know the scene there.

I appreciate opinions and suggestions!

Hey! I really appreciate you for taking time and providing me so much information. I'm going to live in Gdansk. I consider its a big city in Poland and I wouldn't have much problems being myself ?

After reading all the responses here, I can conclude that there is more hate in Poland than support. I see 70% of the guys or girls in this thread are anti lgbt and only 30% of them are supportive. This scares even to come out to people as they might start hating me or even abusing me.

I'm not the person who is very out and too obviously gay. I never hold hands in public nor show any PDA.. Well, as a human I expect people not to abuse me or attack me just that i don't fit in their general hetero stereotype. I expect people to accept me the way iam.

This seriously makes me think of continuing my life in Poland after my education or maybe I'll not.

I don't mind the stares I might get because of my skin color as this would be there in any white people's country... so it won't be a big deal to me..
