Law / Status of Protocol 12 to the European Convention on Human Rights [63]

rather than grumbling on here.

Deprivation of human rights is a serious matter. A shame to read all of the irrelevant ramblings, speculation, and gossip in the middle of the thread by the silly suds.

Pandora's Box is opened

A citizenship petition causes Polish authorities to dig up old tax claims, but not the passport records from the archives? Sounds like discrimination to me.

Law / Status of Protocol 12 to the European Convention on Human Rights [63]

Wow! We have the whole Limey Lounge here commenting. Not a single one of them obtained Polish citizenship by descent, and there isn't a single law degree between them. They must be very concerned about a small percentage of the 20 million ethnic Poles living abroad returning to Poland. It would affect them, and the Poles owning the businesses that employ them, economically, so the emotional response is easily explained. Disregard all of their wrong opinions. Law gets decided by judges, not Internet "experts".

What does he expect anyone here to do?

The OP didn't ask anyone for anything. (It's sexist too assume its a male.) S/He did note that the girls here need to get a room and take the private chat there. Nothing like a fruit loop writing odes to her breakfast here in the middle of a serious discussion about human rights law.

Law / Can Poland's Birth Certificates Destroyed in War be Recreated/Reregistered? [3]

Get a copy of his passport records since they actually prove his citizenship, and not just place of birth. You may want to wait just a bit before applying for your citizenship recognition. While the citizenship rules haven't changed, the old P.O./Tusk regime reversed the evidentiary burdens, which makes things even harder where records were destroyed, etc. The present government is expected to follow the example in Hungary and facilitate recognition of citizenship of Poles living abroad. At present, petitions such as yours can take years and be quite expensive. This should change soon enough to influence the next national elections.

USA, Canada / Edward Rowny - General, Ambassador, Author, Scholarship Founder, Polish American, Passes into Ancestry [8]

Millions of Polish citizens suffered when Poland was betrayed by its Western allies in WWII, ruled by a Soviet puppet state which forced it into its Warsaw Pact.

Millions of Polish citizens rejoiced when that pact collapsed, and Soviet troops left Poland at the end of the Cold War, which was won by the contributions of people like Zbigniew Brzezinski and Edward Rowny.

Only a dyed in the wool communist would disagree.

History / WWII - who really was the first to help Poland? [900]

I'd have to say England was the first, if only because London became the seat of the Polish Gov't

London became the seat of the Polish government after it was first in Romania, and then France. Poland's gold was sent to Romania. They saved it. It later made its way to England, where the Brits had the cheek to try to grab it as repayment for the fuel used by Polish pilots in WWII. Then after recognising the puppet communist post-war government, the Brits sent Poland's gold to back the commies. There is no doubt that the Poles assisted the Brits, but the Brits betrayed the Poles every chance they got.

Law / Question about Polish public nudity law [54]

I will also give a reward of 5000$ to anyone who could get him arrested and get him imprisoned or treated.

If he is an American, it's illegal to travel abroad for the purpose of having sex with a minor. Just forward his info to the FBI. It doesn't matter if it's legal where he is.

Law / Question about Polish public nudity law [54]

If he is a U.S. citizen, ICE has no jurisdiction. Try filing a report with the FBI:fbi.gov/tips
The crime is travelling abroad for the purpose of having sex with a minor.

Law / Question about Polish public nudity law [54]

He is also using a website hosted in the U.S. to solicit sex with girls who are underage in the U.S. That could be a crime in the U.S. They might be more interested if someone gives them a name.
