UK, Ireland / Dual nationality: British and Polish [68]

@polskibrit86 You need to live in Poland for 2 years and pass the language and citizenship exam. You need to be married for at least 3 years. Just being married to Polish person is not enough to get the passport without living in Poland. It may make it easier if you wanted to travel or live in any UE country after Brexit.

More details here foreigners in poland/get-polish-citizenship

All the best.

UK, Ireland / Culture shock (my neighbours in the UK are Polish and Slovak) [88]

@butterflylizard It seems to me that your neighbours are just not very nice people. It has nothing to do with nationality or culture. It's not normal in Poland to charge your neighbours for helping them, to play loud music or not saying hello.

News / Poland refuses to give jobs to British [19]

Polish people have their CV's rejected as well, it's not so easy to get a decent job as it is in the UK. Many times is up to who you know I'm afraid. I don't know if you speak Polish but even less chance if you don't and it's not because Polish people are against the Brits but how would you communicate?

Love / Are girls aggressive to chase men in Poland? [13]

@Magdalena_K I can't speak for all Polish girls but I don't think I've ever been aggressive to anyone 😂 Don't want to get married, have children or be financialy dependent either. Women in Poland are not all the same, maybe this guy went to some club with gold diggers and based his opinion about the whole population on this experience.

Love / Why the Polish girls are not laughing? [22]

@Fabiofromitaly
It is mostly the culture difference. In Poland we don't smile to strangers so if you smile to a Polish girl she probably thinks you want something 😁

And I have no idea why we don't smile to strangers.

Travel / Behavior of Polish travellers on Planes. [72]

@Traveler 1
I'm not sure what answer you're trying to get here. I'm Polish and have no idea why these people on the plane with you behaved badly. Most likely I don't even know them.

I was on a plane with drunk Brits coming from a stag do in Poland, swearing and moaning about how they hated Krakow. I don't judge everyone based on this experience and I don't ask other British people about them.

Chill out 😎
